Getting started
From sign-up to your first 'I'm safe' in 5 minutes
Five steps. Each takes about a minute. By the end, you'll have a circle, a plan, and the muscle memory to use SafeCircle when it matters.
Before you start
The 5-step happy path

Create your account
Visit mysafecircles.app/signup. Use email + password, or tap Continue with Google. Confirmation is automatic — you can sign in immediately.
You're now a Member. That's the default role. Everything you do next layers on top of it.

Create your first circle
On the dashboard you'll see a welcome screen. Tap Create your first circle. Name it something concrete: Family, Flatmates, Kids School. You can have several.

Invite people
Open the circle on your dashboard or from Profile → My Circles. Tap Invite → Generate invite link. Share via WhatsApp or copy and paste anywhere. The link is good for 14 days.
People who tap the link get a SafeCircle account (if they don't have one) and join your circle automatically.

Build a 5-minute emergency plan
Go to Plan in the nav. Walk through the builder: a meeting point, an out-of-region contact (someone outside your immediate area you can all phone), a code word, and 1-3 emergency contacts.

Post your first status
Back on the dashboard, tap the big green I'm safebutton. Everyone in your circle gets a push notification. Done — that's the core loop.
While you're there, head to Profile → Notificationsand turn on push notifications so you'll see when someone else does the same.
How to know you're set up correctly
- Your dashboard shows your name and at least one circle.
- Your circle shows at least one member (you, plus anyone who's joined).
- Your Plan page lists at least one plan you can open.
- Your Profile → Notifications card shows Active — meaning push notifications are enabled on this device.
- Your Profile → Install SafeCircle card is gone (it disappears once installed) or you've dismissed the install hint deliberately.
Install as an app (recommended)
Installed, SafeCircle launches straight to your dashboard, works offline, and on iPhone receives push notifications. Open Profile and tap the Install SafeCircle card — the steps adapt to your device.
iPhone / iPad
Open the site in Safari (other iOS browsers can't install). Tap Share → Add to Home Screen → Add. Push notifications need iOS 16.4 or newer.
Android
Tap Install app on the Profile card. If it's missing, open Chrome's menu and pick Install app or Add to Home Screen.
Mac / Windows / Linux
Chrome / Edge / Arc: tap Install app. Mac Safari: Share → Add to Dock.
